Medival Empires is imho one of the few next generation Blockchain games, as it mainly focuses on being a game instead of gamified blockchain functions. The team makes sure that players have to pay as few as possible gas fees. Examples: You only need to own land to have all benefits, no staking or something else needed. Contracts with tenants are handled ingame and work smoothly. Staking for VIP does not need to be renewed, it only has a minimum time. By this the blockchain activity is much much lower than in other games, but for the benefits of the playerbase.
