Across Protocol is a cross-chain bridge that allows users to move tokens between Layer 2 blockchains and Ethereum efficiently in the fastest time with low fees and minimal slippage. This is a new bridge method that combines UMA's optimistic oracle, bonded relayer and single-side pool for users to transact cross-chain quickly and at low cost. It essentially provides an open market for relayers to maximize their profits by charging relay fees from users who want to bridge tokens cross-chain. When the relayer cannot promptly fulfill the user's bridge token request, the protocol will use the liquidity provided by the LP to the pool to complete the token transfer.
